The couple Sevinç and Erol Çakır, who continue their career journey as lawyers, started to sprout their dreams in 2000 by purchasing the land in Urla Kuşçular, which was previously farmed as Mestan Vineyards. With Mr. Erol's childhood interest in viticulture and Ms. Sevinç's love for Urla, where she was born and raised, every sapling that developed set off on its journey to turn into wine.

 

Thanks to the favorable terroir, each sapling became suitable for wine production with the famous sea-effect winds of the Urla peninsula and turned into a passion for wine. This passion also included the Çakır family's children who grew up in the vineyards, and they decided to establish the winery, which was the family's dream. The foundations of the winery integrated with nature were laid in 2017. The first production harvest was realized in 2018 and the first products were named Somnium, which means dream, dream in Latin. Each bottle that has come to life in the production adventure since 2018 meets wine lovers in the winery, which opened to visitors in 2020 as an expression of this adventure and passion.
